Justice League of America

It's been announced that DC will be ramping up their hype for the new Justice League of America title, coming in February from Geoff Johns and David Finch, in a variety of ways. Two of those ways include granting solo series to a couple of its members – Vibe and Katana. Yes, Vibe gets his own book.

Another way is that Justice League of America #1 will have 52 variant covers, one for each state plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.  It's America, see.

There's also a creative shuffling in the offing. Justice League Dark & Animal Man writer Jeff Lemire will team up with I, Vampire artist Andrea Sorrentino to take over Green Arrow, which should signify a stark change in tone, while former GA and current Catwoman scribe Ann Nocenti will be jumping to Katana with artist Alex Sanchez. Then, if you're a fan of the Arrow TV series, you'll be happy to know that Andrew Kreisberg, the show's creator, will be heading up the Vibe series with artist Pete Woods.

It's worth noting that Katana will apparently be taking the place of Robin in the next Batman animated series, so this fits well with raising her profile in preparation for that.

For those not in the know, Vibe is the guy in the back of this piece, behind Catwoman.

Vibe is also this guy:

He was Paco Ramone, the breakdancing hero of the Justice League Detroit. Yes, he's ripe for reinvention.
