With today’s insane news about Disney buying LucasFilms for over $4 billion dollars and starting development on Star Wars: Episode VII for a summer 2015 release, there’s also some gaming news coming out of all this hullabaloo. As part of the acquisition, Disney now also owns LucasFilms’ subsidiary video game development studio, LucasArts.

While LucasArts hasn’t pumped out a whole lot to cause a fuss over in recent years, they do have a little game called Star Wars 1313 in development that has us potentially worried about this epic merger. Basically, Star Wars 1313 is pretty hardcore (read: awesome) version of the galaxy far, far away, complete with badass scoundrels and, gasp, cursing. It will be interesting to see if Disney allows this extreme version of a universe they now have the rights to to continue.

When asked to clarify the status of Star Wars 1313 by Polygon, a LucasArts representative said, “For the time being all projects are business as usual. We are excited about all the possibilities that Disney brings." Here’s hoping this remains the case up until the game releases.

We’re be back with more news about Star Wars 1313 when it’s available.
