Two ways for you to get your Walking Dead fix at retail.

Telltale Games’ awesome The Walking Dead game will be shambling towards retail shelves on December 4, 2012 in North America. The title will be available in a regular edition for $29.99 that collects all five of the game’s episodes, as well as a special collector’s edition that is exclusive to GameStop pre-orders for $69.99.

The special collector’s edition comes with some rather cool collectibles outside the regular game. Namely, you get The Walking Dead compendium, which collects the first 48 issues of Robert Kirkman’s zombie comic that started it all (retail value of $59.99). Additionally, the compendium comes with a unique cover from series artist Charlie Adlard that can’t be found anywhere else. Furthermore, Adlard provides original art for the collector’s edition’s box, shown above and below.

The Walking Dead has been a hit amongst fans and critics. Our own Joey Davidson even holds it above what AMC is doing with The Walking Dead on TV overall. If you’ve held off picking up the title episodically via digital download, you might want to save the date for December 4.
