NFL Tweets Of The Week: Week 6

The New England Patriots were not happy this past Sunday, thanks to Richard Sherman.

At 3-3, the New England Patriots are not off to the typical early season start.  For whatever the reason might be, the Patriots lost back-to-back games for the first time in what seems like forever, after a 24-23 loss to Seattle.  Well, Tom Brady had called out Seattle corner Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas before the contest, so of course Sherman decided to fire back on Twitter with:

He told me and earl to see him after the game when they win….. I found him after….

Sherman even included a picture.  This – combined with the loss – clearly did not make the Patriots happy and a few players let loose over the social media outlet.  Backup running back Stevan Ridley had this to say:

Makes me sick.. For real.

While cornerback Alfonzo Dennard said:

Haters gone hate so keep doing what you do best

Not very original but it certainly gets to the point.  It could be the start of some bad blood between two teams that rarely ever play each other. Meanwhile, two teams that don’t like each other – the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns – squared off on Sunday for the battle of Ohio and all involved were pumped, like linebacker Dontay Moch, who tweeted:

Battle of Ohio. It's game day, us vs them. Time to do work! #WhoDey #teamfeedme

He wasn’t the only player excited for their game, Denver Broncos backup quarterback Brock Osweiler let the world know how excited he was before Monday Night Football.

Can't wait to get this game kicked off tonight in San Diego…there just isn't anything quite like #MNF! #BroncosCountry

Good luck doing anything other than holding a clipboard with Peyton Manning starting, but we agree that MNF is pretty awesome.  Other players have been working hard and are just excited to relax.  Baltimore Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw had this to say after the Ravens’ 31-29 win over the Dallas Cowboys:

Going to sleep good once I hit that bed

Someone should tell him it’s not going to get any easier with Ray Lewis now out for the season.  Speaking of injuries, Donald Jones and the Buffalo Bills had a scary moment on Sunday when their plane had a rough landing back home.  So what’s the first thing he did – tweet about it!

Scary ass landing but we safe lol

Not everyone was full of something to say after this week’s action.  Kansas City Chiefs backup running back Cyrus Gray tweeted this after yet another loss for the red and white:

We don’t know what to tell you, Cyrus.  Your team stinks.  A team that didn’t stink this week was the Detroit Lions.  17 fourth quarter points gave the Lions a must needed win against the Philadelphia Eagles.  Wide receiver Kassim Osgood thanked the big guy upstairs afterwards.

Sometimes it's as simple as just letting God take control.

He should have thanked the big guy coaching the Eagles.  Actually it’s just as simple as playing a team with Mike Vick in control.  There’s always next week. But until then, let the feuds continue and the tweeting remain all over the place.
