After an incredibly successful inaugural season, the Discovery Channel show "Highway Thru Hell" has announced plans to air a new one-night special.

Eight seasons and 1.7 million viewers later, the Jamie Davis Heavy Rescue team that took us through BC’s Cascade Mountains, one of the most dangerous trucking roads in North America, is returning for a one-hour special "Highway Thru Hell: After the Crash." Hosted by Mark Miller and filmed at the iconic “Barn” in Hope, BC, Jamie Davis and his crew Adam, Kevin, Bruce, and Samy talk about some of the most memorable moments from the last season, from the highs to the lows. Clips from the past eight episodes will be shown as the guys from the show discuss their toughest wrecks, worst injuries, the extreme weather conditions, a few of the tense moments on the team, and why they continue doing what is considered one of the most dangerous and unpredictable jobs in the country.

Viewers will have the chance to chat live with the crew via Twitter and Facebook during the special "Highway Thru Hell: After the Crash," which airs on the Discovery Channel on October 30th at 10pm. Download the Discovery Canada app free from the App Store.
