Yesterday saw the release of the PC version of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP on Steam. If you've never heard of the game before, chances are you're not much of an iOS gamer. Sword & Sworcery released on iOS devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad) last year to an immense amount of critical acclaim. Some major gaming website even labeled the game one of the best of 2011.

Sword & Sworcery is essentially a point-and-click adventure will mesmerizing visuals, smoothing music and a ton of atmosphere. It's less about beating the game and more about experiencing it. And now the PC crowd can do just that, and I recommend it completely.

To celebrate the game's launch on the PC platform, Steam is discounting the game by 25%. You can pick up Sword & Sworcery for a measly $5.99 through April 23 (after that point it jumps up to the not-too-high price of $7.99). In addition to the game itself, you'll also get the full soundtrack, featuring original music composed by Jim Guthrie.

Here's a taste of both the game and its music. Enjoy.

The only bummer here is that Sword & Sworcery is only available for Windows-based machines right now. A Mac version is forthcoming, but there's no definitive ETA. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

PC gamers, please pick up this game and show the world that you enjoy thought-provoking, imaginative and immersive gaming experiences. Look, it's okay to branch out from Call of Duty every now and again. Promise.
