Kevin Smith's relaunch of the former Lee Majors and the original Steve Austin in The Bionic Man seems to have worked for Dynamite Entertainment, so now, as expected, they're setting their sights on the former Lindsay Wagner to give us a new Jaime Sommers, aka The Bionic Woman.
Paul Tobin will handle the writing while Lee Carvalho handles the art for the new series. The first arc puts Jaime in Paris on the trail of The Mission, a group of scientists murdering other bionic people so their high-end implants can be given to billionaire patients – but The Mission is hunting her as well.
"It's a big booming blast of a look at the woman behind the bionics," says Tobin. "…a chance for myself and Jaime Sommers to team up, cut loose, knock some things around and then high-five when the dust is still settling."
Check out the cover of The Bionic Woman #1 by Paul Renaud, due out in March – as well as Jamie's appearance in The Bionic Man #1, where they talk about how bad bionic dumps stink.
