1. Green Bay Packers (13-0)
Green Bay keeps on rolling with an easy win over the Oakland Raiders. The only downside is that they lost their top wideout Greg Jennings for 2-4 weeks from injury which could hamper their bid to perfection.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)
The Steelers face a crucial test this Monday night when they face the 10-3 San Francisco 49ers. With Roethlisberger ailing and Harrison suspended, can they eek one out on Monday night to keep pace with the Ravens?
3. Baltimore Ravens (10-3)
All signs point to Baltimore winning the AFC North and possibly grabbing the number 1 seed in the AFC. They do face a stiffer schedule these last three weeks than the Steelers, having to face a talented San Diego squad this week and a dangerous Bengals team the final week of the season (with Cleveland sprinkled in the middle).
4. New Orleans Saints (10-3)
The Saints are starting to gel together into a team that resembles the SuperBowl Champs of a few years past. Unfortunately, a trip to Lambeau Field in January may spell the end for this pass-happy team.
5. New England Patriots (10-3)
If I were to judge this Patriots team, and I will, then I'd say it's very similar to the ones fielded the past couple of years. A powerful regular season team followed by a disappointing postseason appearance. They just don't have the defense to win it all.
6. San Francisco 49ers (10-3)
The 49ers follow up a bad loss to the Arizona Cardinals with a Monday night game against the Steelers. Not a pretty picture. No, the mettle of this team will truly be tested in this weeks game.
7. Houston Texans (10-3)
Down to their third QB and the Texans look better than ever. Yes, there are a number of questions regarding if they can pass when they will need it most but if any team is built to nurture a young QB then this is the team. Reminds me a lot of the Steelers teams in Roethlisberger's first two seasons, and those ended with a AFC Championship loss and a SuperBowl win.
8. New York Giants (7-6)
Now that the Giants have finally won again, the fate of their season is back in their hands. Simply put, win out and the division is theirs.
9. Denver Broncos (8-5)
Teeeeeeeeebbbbbbbbooooooooooowwwwwwwwww!!!! Sorry, had to get that out. This week should show us a lot about the capabilities of this young QB. He' doesn't have the greatest weapons around him but with his ability to get it done when needed, I can see a high scoring game as the Broncos face the Patriots this Sunday.
10. New York Jets (8-5)
The Jets are slowly building momentum towards the playoffs. This seems to be the time of year that Mark Sanchez wakes up and as per that rep, he has led them to 3 straight wins and the lead in getting a wild card spot.
