Last Sunday night, viewers were offered a special preview of "Luck," the upcoming drama series on HBO.

"Deadwood" creator David Milch is making his return to the network with "Luck," which features Dustin Hoffman in his first ever starring role on television. In the series, Hoffman portrays Chester "Ace" Bernstein, a man emerging from a multiple year stint in prison as he attempts to reenter the world of competitive horse racing. Joining Hoffman are a number of impressive costars, including Nick Nolte, Dennis Farina, Gary Stevens, Kevin Dunn and Richard Kind.

HBO has released a short teaser for the series, which gives us some insight into Ace's mindset as well as a taste of what to expect.

Director Michael Mann helmed the pilot episode and will executive produce the series alongside Milch. The series will officially premiere on Sunday, January 29, only on HBO.
