Those who pre-order Star Wars: The Old Republic can participate in the game’s early access program, EA and BioWare revealed today. Early access begins on December 13th, a whole seven days before the game officially launches on December 20th.

All you have to do is pre-order the game at a brick and mortar retailer or through EA’s digital store, Origin, and take your pre-order code to The Old Republic’s official website to redeem it. You’ll then be notified through email of your early access status.

Players who pre-order will also be able to pre-load the full game onto their computers starting right now. In the words of BioWare, this move ensures “players can get into the game as quickly as possible when their Early Game Access begins.”

So if you plan to pick up Star Wars: The Old Republic, why not pre-order the sucker now and enjoy it a week early? Seems obvious to us.
