Ever since people took notice of her back during the 1990s epic Age of Apocalypse, the adorable pink-skinned Clarice Ferguson, aka Blink, has had a big cult following. While her 616 incarnation died during the Phalanx Covenant, the same story arc in which she was introduced, her AoA version has been much more successful, including heading up a team of interdimensional problem-solvers in Exiles for quite a long time. That following was strong enough that, during the Necrosha storyline, the 616 Clarice was brought back to life but corrupted by the nefarious Selene – and once Emma Frost brought her out of it and tried to bring her into the X-Men's fold, Blink bugged out and couldn't handle it.
Now, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning are bringing her back into their X-book just in time for X-Men: Regenesis, lining her up alongside another AoA star in Nate Grey, aka X-Man. Cyclops sends the New Mutants after her, as she may have gotten into some new kind of trouble of her own making.
