Tomorrow sees the launch of EA and DICE’s Battlefield 3. But some people have already snagged their copies, whether it’s from being sent a review version or by walking into their local shop and picking it right up off the shelf. Either way, copies of Battlefield 3 are out there in the wild and consumers are already starting to report on a mysterious leaflet found inside the game’s case. A leaflet that point to a sequel to 2010’s Medal of Honor.
The image (posted below) shows what looks like an emblem with a shark’s face inside with the letters “MOH 1.” There’s also a URL directly below the image directing people to MedalofHonor.com.
It doesn’t necessary take rocket science to figure this one out: a sequel to Medal of Honor is definitely on the way.
But then again, Danger Close has not been coy about working on a follow-up to the 2010 shooter. In fact, quite the contrary. They has been very open about it. Earlier this year, Danger Close producer Greg Goodrich wrote a blog post entitled “In case you were wondering…” where he confirmed Danger Close’s next project. Drum roll please… a sequel to Medal of Honor!
“Yes, Danger Close is currently working on the next Medal of Honor,” boldly proclaimed Goodrich. “Since our launch last October, we’ve studied, listened and absorbed much of your feedback and are very excited to be marching forward on the next title. We can’t wait to tell you more about it, so check back often to the website and the fan page on Facebook.”
Now we just sit back and play the waiting game for a formal announcement of Medal of Honor 2.
