Good news for all you Mass Effect fans. EA Games and BioWare have announced that Mass Effect 3 will get a demo in January 2012, roughly three months before the full game ships on March 6, 2012.
The announcement was made on both BioWare’s Facebook and Twitter page. The demo will actually contain both single player and multiplayer components, which is exciting news for those curious about how the new co-op “Galaxy at War” system will work.
Furthermore, new copies of Battlefield 3 will contain vouchers for early access to the multiplayer side of the Mass Effect 3 demo. This news broke thanks to an unboxing video (are we really just "unboxing" normal cases now?) for EA’s mega-shooter, Battlefield 3. How early of access remains to be seen, but it’s said that the in-game news ticker for Battlefield 3 will be the place to look for more details.
It looks like you’re going to have to take a break from all the game’s you’re going to get over the holidays to download this beast of a demo. It might be time to preemptively ready your Internet tubes.
