Baseball has notoriously been behind it's more popular sports cousins in a majority of ways but when they get it right, which they tend to do in October, they grab all the attention and take center stage.  For the next two days, baseball is the place to be as they are gifting their fans with three playoff elimination games.

The first game on tap come to you tonight at 8:00 pm EST and will star the Detroit Tigers looking to upset the New York Yankees. Having gone up 2-1 in the series, the Yankees called upon the hit or miss A.J. Burnett to get them to game 5. Luckily, they got the hit Burnett and the Yanks would cruise to a 10-1 win to set up this season saving game 5.

Kicking off your Friday night at 5:07 pm EST and features the Arizona Diamondbacks taking on the Milwaukee Brewers.  Facing elimination on Wednesday, the Diamondbacks busted out to an early 4-1 win en route to a 10-6 win to take this series to it's final game. They will need to bring everything but the kitchen sink to finish off the heavily favored Brewers to start their weekend.

The last game of this baseball extravaganza starts Friday at 8:37 pm EST and will showcase the St. Louis Cardinals trying to overcome the much-hyped Philadelphia Phillies. The Cardinals staved off elimination in game 4 behind David Freese's 4 RBI night. Philadelphia will need to make sure something like that won't happen again if they are going to advance and live up to the weight of their own expectations.

With three game 5's set in a matter of 24 hours, you can expect the drama to be high and the baseball to be top notch. Even if you don't religiously follow the sport, it's an event that you should tune in for because there is nothing like the end of your season to motivate guys to give beyond their all.
