"True Blood" is kicking off its long awaited fourth season, this Sunday night on HBO. To promote the return of one of its most popular shows, the network has previously released the first eight minutes of the fourth season premiere; which is entitled "She's Not There." And in that opening sequence, we witnessed Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) journey to the Fae Realm and quickly realize her mistake.

Reaction to that preview has been a little divided. But HBO has also released a brand new set of preview scenes from upcoming episodes which bring the action back down to Earth. In the first scene, Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) imposes his will on the new coven in town, which is led by Marnie (Fiona Shaw); a witch who may go on to become the main villain this season.

In the second preview scene, Sookie receives a warning from Pam (Kristin Bauer) pertaining to her relationship with Eric.

The shapeshifer Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) grabs the spotlight in the third clip, as a new female friend tries to seduce him.

Coming up in clip number four, Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) and his boyfriend Jesús Velasquez (Kevin Alejandro) discuss magic.

Hoyt Fortenberry (Jim Parrack) and his vampire girlfriend, Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) shatter their domestic bliss in the fifth scene. And that really is a lot of eggs to be wasting…

And finally, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) comforts Jessica after she makes a serious mistake in her relationship with Hoyt.
