Up until this point we’ve only seen Battlefield 3 running on a mega-powered PC with all the latest bells and whistles. Ever since the game was unveiled, we’ve wondered what it would look like running on our dated-in-comparison Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Well, wonder no more. EA Games and DICE were kind enough to bring the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to premiere what the title looks like running on console. The answer: still flippin’ gorgeous.

The gameplay demo shown is ripped straight out of the Fault Line series of trailers, showing a squad of US troops high-tailing it to find one of their buddies who is trapped in a contested war zone. However, things don’t go as planned (typical), leaving our team to fight their way out of an ambush. This is all supplemented by Fallon’s usual high-pitched squeals of joy whenever he watches or plays video games (the dude loves them).
