The last time audiences saw Danny McBride’s Kenny Powers, he was dumping his girlfriend April (Katy Mixon) at a gas station and heading out into the unknown after his major league pitching career was derailed once again.
But nothing can stop Kenny Powers from returning to glory!
In advance of the second season of "Eastbound & Down," HBO is offering fans a chance to win Kenny Powers’ customized waverunner, "The Panty Dropper." From now until the season premiere on Sunday September 26, fans are invited to go to KennyPowers.com and fill out one entrée form per day. The description on the site is also perfectly in character for Powers:
"Here is your chance to own a one of a kind watercraft from the best pitcher who ever lived, Kenny Freakin’ Powers! He’s already bagged plenty of hotties with this Panty Dropping Machine, but has recently upgraded to a yacht and will be moving to Mexico. If you want to get some girls wet, then this is the ticket."
Fans can also call 1-888 WET-SKII to a hear a recorded message from Stevie Janowski, one of McBride’s co-stars on the series and a "trusted friend" of Kenny Powers.
As indicated in Powers’ description of "The Panty Machine," Powers has relocated to Mexico for the second season, where he will pitch for a new team. Michael Peña ("Crash," "The Shield") has joined the cast as the owner of Powers’ new baseball team with Ana de la Reguera ("Nacho Libre") playing his daughter and Kenny Powers’ new love interest.
Janowski and Ben Best will also return to the show, with the rest of first season cast reportedly set to appear in cameos throughout the new season.
