Last April, DC announced Flashpoint, its Flash-based miniseries that will put the scarlet speedster in the spotlight during a major crossover event. And while we knew it was going to be huge, we had no idea just how big it was actually going to be… until now.
Over at DC’s Source Blog the company unveiled 14 three issue miniseries that will tie into the main five issue Flashpoint miniseries by Geoff Johns, Andy Kubert and Sandra Hope. It also used the description: “This isn’t a parallel Earth. This isn’t mirror world. This is home,” which suggests that the changes to history made within the story will affect the main DC Universe.
Each miniseries was also introduced with the "Whatever Happened To…" phrase which was famously used on previous stories featuring Superman and Batman’s final adventures.

No creative teams for any of the tie-in miniseries have been announced, but DC did indicate that there will be a 15th three issue miniseries to be announced later, along with potential one-shots and tie-in issues for currently ongoing titles. Although the events of Flashpoint are still under wraps, recent issues of The Flash have hinted that the major alterations to history may be due to the time traveling menace, Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash… and one of Flash’s greatest enemies.
DC also released a new black and white teaser image by Andy Kubert.
Flashpoint kicks off in May in a special Free Comic Book Day title before continuing into the summer.
