J. Cole has officially confirmed that he is working on a collaboration album project with Kendrick Lamar.

After endless rumors of a joint mixtape, we've finally gotten some confirmation from J. Cole that the project is taking flight. In an interview with Hot 97.5's Bootleg Kev over the weekend, J. Cole revealed he's started work on the project at last.

"I just started working with Kendrick the other day," he said, "We got it in, finally, again. [It's gonna be an] album, man. We actually worked, bouncing ideas, which was great. The vibe was so good that it was like, man, that’s absolutely gonna happen," he added.

Cole continued: “We got maybe four or five [songs] together."

So it's only a matter of time. Listen to the interview below, where he also talks about touring with Drake, not making MTV's "Hottest MCs" list, what to expect from his sophomore album, and more. (via HipHopDX).
