The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams is seeing a release today, honoring the country legend whose musical impact is still felt far and wide.
After his untimely 1953 death at the age of 29, a series of notebooks with song sketches were uncovered, with enough building blocks for some of his more talented, higher-profile fans to build one. Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones and Jack White, among others, each took one of these hints of songs and worked them out to completion, staying as true to Hank Williams' sound as much as possible.
"You Know That I Know" is title of Jack White's contribution to the album, which you can listen to below, thanks to Rolling Stone:
